Connecting Hearts and Futures at the Clackamas County Resource Fair!

An illustration featuring a diverse group of people standing and walking together against a plain white background, highlighting a theme of community inclusion. On the left, a man in a wheelchair holds hands with a woman standing beside him. Next to them, a young man with blue hair dances playfully. In the center, a family of five walks forward hand-in-hand, consisting of a mother, father, and three young children. On the far right, a woman in a pink dress walks confidently using a white cane. The art style is minimalist and uses warm, flat colors with simple features. This is the image Clackamas County DD Services used online when promoting the event.

This past Saturday, the Right of Passage team loaded up our banners, brochures, and bright smiles and headed over to the Clackamas County Developmental Disabilities Resource Fair. It was a beautiful day spent doing what we love most: meeting our neighbors and building a stronger community together.

We had the privilege of connecting with so many wonderful individuals, families, and partners. We loved hearing your stories, answering your questions, and sharing our vision for supporting neurodivergent young adults as they navigate the exciting transition into adulthood.

So many of the new friends we met signed up for our newsletter, expressed interest in joining our upcoming events, and even raised their hands to volunteer with us. To everyone who stopped by our table: Thank you. Your enthusiasm and support are the fuel that keeps our mission moving forward.

We walked away from the fair feeling inspired and more excited than ever for future tabling opportunities. Building this network takes a village, and we are so glad you are a part of ours.

Missed us this weekend? Don't worry! We have a full lineup of summer and fall events coming up, and we are always looking for passionate volunteers and families to join the journey. Head over to our Events page to see how you can get involved today!
